I've been doing some coding last weekend and when I looked at the site I designed on another computer I was horrified - the positions were all wrong - the whole thing was a mess! I had already checked compatibility using an IE renderer but I had no idea I had to check compatibility with other versions of Mozilla Firefox too! What do you guys normally use for browser compatibility checks?
There are some online services but I like to try to have as many as possible installed on a home machine.
You can use VMware or other virtualization and even run OSX on it and test Safari.

I have just installed all of the major browsers and use them to check my websites individually. Personally I believe if someone doesn't have an updated computer with a major browser on it, they are stuck in the stone age still and won't be able to communicate with me very well in the first place.

Heh heh - things were so much easier back in the days when everyone was using Netscape.
