I'm a Wordpress fan myself, but when I started I had all Blogger blogs. Both have their pros and cons. I'll present both their strengths and weaknesses here, and let you decide.
Wordpress is way better, it may require a lot more work but it's so much better say you get a real panel and so much more professional.. Blogger is great for the kids because you don't have to get anything else just visit a site and you get everything a domain, hosting, a domain, and even the software.. But if you are wanting to start a real blog wordpress is the only way to go.
